Join Us Beneath the Surface
Deep Sea Productions aims to inspire and spread knowledge about the Earth's largest and perhaps most important ecosystem: the ocean.
The ocean covers over 70% of our planet, yet so much remains unexplored, unseen, and under threat. It is our most vital source of life, with enormous and still unexplored potential for innovation, learning, and sustainability. Responsible stewardship of the ocean is crucial for our future. That’s why we at Latour want to join Deep Sea Productions on their journey to deepen our understanding of the ocean. We are convinced that where curiosity and knowledge grow, so does engagement, fully in line with our values.
Ocean Dreams – Stories of Hope
The first phase of the project Ocean Dreams – Stories of Hope is an IMAX/Giant Screen documentary set to premiere in 2026 in more than 200 large-format theaters worldwide. These include the Science Museum in London, the American Museum of Natural History, the Pacific Science Center, Cosmonova in Stockholm, and Beijing CSTM.
Alongside the film, a unique coffee table book will be released, featuring images and stories from the film project. The project will also produce educational materials that will be made freely available to schools and museums.
About the Film
Ocean Dreams – Stories of Hope is a beautiful and thought-provoking film that takes the audience on a journey beneath the surface to some of the Earth’s most fascinating and inspiring places.
This is the first film in a trilogy and tells a story about the ocean’s unique ability to recover. With stunning cinematography, groundbreaking research, and breathtaking environments, the film shows what is possible — if we give the ocean a chance.
The documentary dives into the diversity and complexity of life beneath the waves.
From the crystal-clear waters of northern Norway to the vibrant reefs of Raja Ampat. From the vast marine national park in the Galápagos, through the Wild Coast of South Africa, and all the way to Bikini Atoll, where life returned despite 23 nuclear tests.
